If you are looking for work, have experience in the manufacturing sector and are able to commit time to job search success, you’re Ready NOW!
Ready NOW! is a 3-day employer and job seeker event focused on pairing qualified individuals with local employers who have open manufacturing positions.
Unlike a traditional job fair, Ready NOW! is a series of activities designed to prepare job seekers for a successful job search and full-time employment. Participants will attend workshops on team building, resume writing, career exploration and personal success; debrief with a group of fellow job seekers and employers; and practice presenting a positive, employable image through mock interviews. At the end of the week, job seekers who have fulfilled all the requirements will obtain a Certificate of Completion and the opportunity to interview with two of the participating employers.

Location: Grand Valley State University, Allendale Campus, Kirkhof Center (directions) (bus route)
Here’s how to get started:
- Submit the online application and your resume. If you don’t have a resume, you can create one by signing on to Michigan Talent Connect. To receive assistance with the online application, go to one of our Service Centers (PDF).
- Attend orientation. Once your application and resume have been received, reviewed and accepted,* you will receive an email confirming your orientation date and time. Upon completion of the orientation, you will be registered for Ready NOW!
- Make the most of this opportunity! Work on your resume, practice interviewing or research participating employers.
