Overview

Michigan Works Kent & Allegan Counties is the region’s largest and most effective employment resource for job seekers. Along with the Michigan Talent Bank, the statewide Internet-based labor exchange system, Michigan Works! Kent & Allegan Counties offers a wide variety of programs and services to help job seekers of all skill levels and backgrounds find a job.

Michigan Works! Kent & Allegan Counties delivers services to job seekers in four essential areas: work-to-work, unemployment-to-work, welfare-to-work, and school-to-career. Regardless of a job seeker’s situation, education level, experience, and skill level, the Service Center staff will work to provide the assistance needed to overcome the barriers they face in finding employment.

Specialized programs and career counseling is available, as well as training and workshops that can help a job seeker develop the materials and skills necessary to reenter the workforce.

All Michigan Works! Kent & Allegan Counties programs and services are offered completely free of charge.
